Have you ever wondered how idols and actors always pull off gorgeous, dewy, smooth skin? Well, it has lots to do with their skincare routines, but also the kind of makeup they wear. One of Korea’s most popular foundation system is the BB cushion, that little round thing you see actresses pull out of their bags right before an important meeting, a date or while doing their makeup in the morning. What are they exactly? If you’ve never heard of them or seen one, they’re basically cushions soaked in BB or CC cream or liquid foundations from time to time inside a compact, paired with a bouncy applicator puff that you pat all over your face. Some consider it a fusion between skincare and makeup because they not only cover your skin but also improve its feel, look, and overall health. Sounds like a catch? Well, it is, but do all cushions work the same for all people? That would be a no. Depending on your skin concerns and struggles, there are different ones that would work best for you, and in order for you to find the one, we made a list of our absolute favorites for every skin type. For Dry Skin – CLIO Nudism Water-Grip Cushion This super lightweight cushion’s goal is to provide you with coverage while mimicking a bare face. Its innovative formula is 70 percent skin moisturizing ingredients that will keep your skin hydrated all day long. The best thing about it is that even when its main goal is to hydrate, it doesn’t feel sticky or oily at all. Different from regular cushions, this one comes in a unique honeycomb mesh that releases a creamy foundation, which will stay put all day long. For Dehydrated Skin – IOPE Air Cushion There’s a reason why this air cushion is a best seller in Korea. It was one of the first ones of its kind containing Bio Water, which is a hydration magnet, and 3D prism pearls, which add a glow finish to your makeup. If you suffer from dry skin or dehydration, then this cushion is the answer for you. The coolest thing about this cushion is its science it uses a method called Coloring Technology, which evenly blends color particles by repeatedly pushing them against each other, helping you see more vivid colors and meticulous coverage, all to reach glowing skin that feels and looks moisturized from deep within. For Sensitive Skin – CosRX Clear Fit Blemish Cushion We’ve talked about CosRX before and how all their skincare products are a gold mine for peeps with sensitive and acne prone skin. Well, their BB cushion is no exception. This multifunctional cushion offers light coverage that’s long lasting and looks super natural. It contains centella asiatica, an ingredient that helps soothe and calm down your skin, diverse vitamins for a youthful look, and most importantly, it’s SPF 47 PA+++, which will protect you against harmful UVA and UVB rays. For Oily Skin – ETUDE House Real Powder Cushion The most amazing thing about this powder cushion is how it goes on wet but dries to a matte, powdery finish that offers medium, buildable coverage. Another perk? The majority of the cushions meant for oily skin don’t focus on dewiness, but this one does, even with its matte finish. It’s not as lightweight as other cushions being that one of its main goals is to provide you with high coverage, reason why it feels more like a mousse than a creamy foundation. For Acne-Prone Skin – Klairs Mochi BB Cushion This is one of those products that you should simply get because of the cuteness. Thankfully, the Mochi Cushion is as good as it’s pretty. It’s been designed as a balm-type product instead of the liquid formula we’re used to, which fills in pores and acts like a natural redness neutralizer, so you could say it’s both a concealer and a cushion in one. As it comes in just one shade, it fits both warmer and colder undertones, and it’s often used as a color corrector too. Its formula helps acne prone skin look and feel calmer and smoother, covering up blemishes and breakouts without stressing them out. For Combination Skin – Peripera Dal Dal Factory Cushion Besides the fact that Peripera’s new summer collection looks like a candy store, which could be reason enough to get your hands on it, their new Airy Ink Cushion is what combo-skin dreams are made of. Its formula is light and matte but still vibrant. It adheres to the skin like a second layer, which stays put all day to prevent fading and oxidation — two very important points when picking the right cushion for you. Combo skin can be an emotional rollercoaster. Some areas of your skin are oily, some are dry, some are more sensitive than others
this cushion fights back against all those struggles to provide you with a velvet-like airy finish. For Hyper Pigmentation – MISSHA M Magic Cushion Ask anyone K-Beauty obsessed and they’ve probably seen or heard about this cushion already, as it’s considered a staple. The M Magic Cushion uses a BB Cream-based formula containing ingredients such as bamboo water, baobab tree fruit extract, and witch hazel extract, which smooth out, hydrate, and brighten up your skin. All this in addition to providing high coverage that will conceal blemishes, discolorations, dark circles, uneven skin tone, and signs of pigmentation. Plus, its lightweight texture absorbs sweats and oils for comfortable wear that lasts all day, so you can bet once you get home at night your makeup will look the same as when you left. For Dull Skin – Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion Brightening Looking for a cushion to even out your skin tone? Then you came to the right place. This cushion from Sulwhasoo is what we like to call a multifunction cushion, as it not only provides your skin with long-lasting coverage, but also treats and vitalizes skin to bring out its brilliance. Formulated with magnolia extract, this heaven-sent cushion will brighten your skin and reduce the appearance of discoloration, while the unique purified water with licorice extract contained in it purifies the skin so it looks clearer and cleaner, all towards an even complexion that looks brilliant. Cruelty-Free No What to Look For in Cushion Compacts Shade When choosing a cushion compact, start with looking for a shade match. If you are using a cushion compact for touch-ups on the go, you don’t want the shade to differ from your current makeup or skin tone. Look for a brand that offers shades in your range and tone. Finish Cushion compacts come in various finishes. Look for one that appeals to your desired look, whether dewy, glowing, matte, or natural. If you have uneven texture or blemishes, look for a compact that can smooth over them without flaking or caking. A dewy moisturized look may be best for dryer skin, while oily skin may do better with a mattifying or dryer finish. Coverage When choosing a cushion compact, consider how much coverage you need. Just as with any foundation, cushion compacts range from sheer to full coverage. Sheer coverage can look more natural, but full coverage conceals blemishes. Some cushion compacts can provide plenty of coverage in a single swipe, while others are buildable. FAQ What is a cushion compact? A cushion compact is a sponge-like cushion that’s soaked in liquid foundation and packaged in a self-contained compact. They are mess-free and ideal for travel, on-the-go applications, touch-ups, or re-applying makeup after the gym, pool, or beach. How long does cushion compact last? Cushion compact lasts about three months, depending on how often and how much you use it. Some cushion compacts are refillable, so you can prevent waste and save on packaging. Be sure to completely close your compact so it does not dry out or spill. Are cushion foundations worth it? If you are often on the go or travel frequently, cushion compacts are absolutely worth it. Having a cushion compact on hand saves you from bringing a larger product and brush, and if you keep it in your purse or car, it ensures you always have it on hand.

I have been using this BB power Perfection cushion from The Face shop for a week now. And after trying it in many ways and receiving tons of compliments, I think I am ready to review this amazing product. First, since this is my first post on the brand The Face shop, Let me introduce this brand to those who are new to it. About the company The Face Shop is a 14 year old South Korean company which makes a wide range of products including bath, body, skin care and make up. The Face shop is now an international brand providing its global standard products across the world. About the BB power perfection CushionCushion foundation with high coverage and adhesiveness, this intense cover cushion by Faceshop provides full coverage formula with an ultra-natural finish. It reduces wrinkles, brightens, and protects you against the harsh UV rays. This formula was designed to sit close to skin, giving it a smooth and natural finish without making the makeup look heavy. It contains micro-molecule hyaluronic acid that immediately boosts skin's moisture content, giving skin a supple, bouncy texture! The rich essence of this formula contains the goodness of SPF 50 PA+++. This product is dermatologically tested. Created to give you a gorgeous Korean beauty experience. Net Wt. 15gMRP 1690 INR Shelf life 3 Years Ingredients MY EXPERIENCE Where should I start? Deeply inspired by Korean beauties' skin care regimen, I have always wanted to try Korean beauty products. My wish came true through Nykaa. I wanted to try a cushion especially with that handle puff I'm a die hard K-drama lover and I have seen the K-drama actresses use this puff on their faces and I really wanted to experience that feeling and style, wink. I ordered it after a lot of thinking, because they have 7 types of cushions actually 6 varying from matte to dewy finish for different skin concerns. They had an offer going on, so I got a cleanser free with this cushion! I was very jumpy the day I received it. I felt as if I had gifted myself a luxury product because of its lovely case! It was a delight for my eyes. My skin color falls under MAC NC 35-40, and I chose this cushion in the shade V 205. I have combination skin—My T-zone is a bit oily and the remaining area of my face is normal to dry but acne prone. I use this cushion after my basic skin care-cleansing, toning and moisturising. I follow the instructions given on the cover. I slightly press the puff on the cushion and then softly dab it on the uneven areas where I want some coverage, then I press it gently on my overall face, blending it, to make my face look even. The shade is definitely lighter than my own skin tone and is a little whitish on my skin I have yellow, olive undertones. On first day, I took more than required amount of the product for my skin and looked a little ashy, but after half an hour or so, my face looked just fine. On the second day, I applied it after skipping moisturiser and I felt that my skin needed some more moisture. On the third day, I applied it after moisturiser and took appropriate quantity, and Voilla!!! My skin appeared one tone lighter, more radiant and day, I received a lot of compliments! Funny thing was everybody kept looking at my face saying that I looked very pretty, but they couldn't just notice what was differentwink. I shied away. The next day, I got compliments from my those friends who are very critical of my applying any make up on my healthy skin. They said I looked fair and was glowing! That's it! Since then it has become my holy grail product. I use it everyday. Even if the shade is lighter, it adjusts well and becomes one with my skin. Even if you rub your skin or sweat, it won't come out. The coverage is sheer to medium. I don't dare build it up because of the fear of looking ghostly. It doesn't break me out. It evens out my skin and gives my skin a soft, supple, fair and dewy finish. It also reduces the appearance of pores around my nose area. However, I am a bit disappointed by its staying power. On my face, it stays put for 4 hours, after which it fades and skin starts looking a little oily. This is when I need to give a touch up with a compact to make my skin appear matte. Here are the swatches Before Blending After Blending If you look closely, you will be able to see that the blended area looks fairer and brighter than the remaining area. Here is how it looked on my face. I have tried to take as natural pic as possible. Overall Thoughts This cushion provides a light coverage and makes the skin appear healthy, glowing, fair and plump. So if you don't want much coverage and are happy with a bright, smooth and glowing complexion, buy it! PROS 1 Contains SPF 50, so no need for an extra sun screen. 2 Makes my skin glow! 3 Skin looks fair and bright. 4 Doesn't cake or crease. After all, it is not a foundation! 5 More than half of the ingredients are natural which is a big plus for me. 6 The case is very elegant. I would love to carry it and flaunt it! 7 Travel friendly. 8 It gives dewy finish but doesn't make my skin oily. However, my nose area remains a bit shiny so I dust some pressed powder there and I'm all set 9 Evens out my skin. However, darker areas such as under eye area definitely need a concealer. 10 Doesn't let my skin get tanned or darken at any time in a day. 11 Comes in handy when you need touch up at any time in the day or night! 12 Super light weight on skin. In fact, I don't feel like I'm wearing anything on my skin! CONS1 Even though they have 5 shades, for Indian skin, there are really only three shades V203 for very fair skin, V205 for fair to medium skin and V207 for medium skin. Besides, for darker skin beauties I think V207 will be a light shade. I hope that The Face Shop releases more shades keeping Indian skin tones in mind if it really wants to capture Indian market. 2 It is expensive. Though, the cushion cover is more convenient in use than fingers or brushes, the quantity is less in a cushion than in a BB tube. 3 The Face shop has not released refill option in India yet, and paying for the case again is not reasonable. So, I hope that it releases the refills of the packs soon. Another unfair thing is, on its Malaysian and other sites, the company offers a refill free with these cushion covers!! 4Oily skin beauties may not like it because it gives a very dewy finish. So, Will I recommend it? A definite yes! It is such a beautiful product to have in your vanity kit! Will I buy it? It's my holy definitely buy it again. A tip Use it 15 minutes prior to going out, as it takes a little time to adjust to your skin tone. It was the longest of my reviews so far. Sheew!! I hope it was worth the effort. If you have any question or you want to share your experience regarding any cushion cover you used or are using, do write to us in the comment section below! With Lots of love, Neha UPDATE finished my first The Face shop cushion. Totally smitten by it. It continues to get me compliments! It has won a permanent place in my vanity kit. I found it great for winter and moderate climate-lasts on me all day, whereas in summer I do need a touch up when my skin starts turning oily. I could get about 30 applications from this cushion before it breathed its last. So its like spending 60 bucks on each application which is fine but still expensive when compared to bottled foundation. But for the sake of its convenient, travel-friendly packaging, I would never part with this cushion ever! For quick updates follow me on instagram ID nneha89 Thebest for trouble and sensitive skin. Beenresearching about these. They are apparently the thing to use in Korea and in Southeast Asia. Been looking at them online, videos, reviews etc. Wondering where to buy them here in brisbane! need to check them out and not just buy online. Looks amazing! Help Byrdie / Sabrina Jiang While foundation will always have its place in our makeup bag, we just can’t go past the light, easy coverage that a BB cream affords. BB creams—short for beauty or blemish balms—are a hybrid between foundation and skincare. The idea is that they’re easy to apply and even out the skin tone while simultaneously improving its appearance. “BB creams are usually like a skin tint that provides fresh, healthy-looking coverage without the heaviness of a traditional foundation,” explains makeup artist and beauty expert Michael Brown. Brown extols the use of BB creams, adding that they're excellent for those who care about the integrity of their skin. “They’re great if you want quick, fuss-free coverage that’s also going to benefit the health of your complexion,” he adds. We conducted hours of research on the best BB creams, evaluating each formula on active ingredients, benefits targeted, how easy they are to blend, and overall value. We also looked at different types of finishes and coverage levels, and considered formulas for every skin type. After considering dozens of brands, and consulting with two celebrity makeup artists, we landed on the following best in show. Sephora What We Like Great coverage Added SPF Good shade range What We Don’t Like Not ideal for very oily skin While we do acknowledge that this is a CC Cream, it’s unmatched when it comes to natural-looking coverage, finish, and luminosity. The creamy formula is pigmented, so it does a great job of concealing redness, breakouts, and scarring. Meet the Expert Michael Brown is one of Australia’s leading celebrity makeup artists with 20-years of experience. His editorial and commercial work can be seen around the globe. He is an expert is perfecting skin to create a natural, flawless look. Megs Cahill is a retired professional makeup artist with specialized expertise in skincare. What to Look for in a BB Cream Desired Outcome "When looking for your ideal BB cream match, think about what your desired outcome is," explains Megs Cahill, Professional Makeup Artist. She says, "Do you want sun protection, hydration, or shine control? Some things to look for in BB creams based on your wants/needs [include] skincare benefits, priming abilities, SPF, shine control, free of potentially harmful ingredients parabens, sulfates, GMOs, etc., coverage level, consistency, and wear time.” Consistency When testing the product, Cahill recommends opting for something lighter weight and non-greasy. “We want this to blend into the skin, not sit on top of it.” She further explains, for oily skin especially to avoid anything containing oil. “The good thing about BB creams is that they are a thinner consistency and coverage, so shades are more likely to match multiple skin tones.” FAQ What is BB cream used for? “BB Cream is used as a foundation hybrid to even out the skin tone while adding skincare and SPF benefits,” says Cahill. “You can use a BB cream as a base for the next steps in your routine or as your complete one-step skincare, primer, foundation, routine." How do you apply BB cream? “To get the most coverage, use a brush. I recommend a dense kabuki brush for a smooth, “fullest” coverage application,” says Cahill. She further explains, “to get the naturally radiant look, use a damp sponge as this will help the dew come through the product and even out sheer of the product a tad to give a more natural look.” What is the difference between BB and CC cream? Cahill says a BB cream is a beauty balm hybrid between skincare, primer, foundation, and/or SPF, whose goal is to lightly even out skin tone, treat, and protect. In contrast, a CC cream or color/complexion corrector is designed to correct uneven skin tone and add coverage while protecting your skin. It’s quite popular all over. In fact, my very first face wash was from The Body Shop. No, it wasn’t from Himalayas or Garnier! My aunt gifted me The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream along with the face wash. That was when I was a fresher in college. It was a period when I didn’t even know my skin type. I clearly remember I wasn’t fascinated with the products. Fast forward to the present, I know what would suit my skin type better. Now that I have tried a handful of The Body Shop Products, I’ll be sharing my experience with them in this post. Honestly, some of them were good and some weren’t. Read on to know more about them. My final thoughts on The Body Shop ProductsThe Body Shop Products Quick Overview1. Skin Clearing Tea Tree Face WashRefreshing and purifying face wash. Helps control acne breakouts & heal acne faster. A must-try for oily acne-prone skin types. My rating Satsuma Shower GelLoved by many. Personally, I am not a fan of its scent. Smells like the soft drink Fanta. Except that, it’s a nice refreshing shower gel. My rating Shea Body ButterAn amazing body butter that is insanely nourishing and moisturizing. Has a nice nutty aroma that you wouldn’t want to miss. My Rating Fuji Green Tea Gel LotionA super lightweight body lotion that adds a burst of hydration along with imparting a healthy glow to the glow. It has a fresh, light scent and is apt for summers and oily skin. My Rating 4/55. Oils of Life Sleeping CreamInfused with good anti-aging ingredients. A lightweight gel-cream product that moisturizes the skin without leaving the skin greasy. It has a warm perfume scent and is a bit highly-priced. Suitable as a night cream for oily-normal-combination skin types. My Rating 4/56. Grapeseed Glossing SerumThis is one of the best hair serums. It not only imparts shine and detangles hair, but it also adds a beautiful bounce to my fine hair. It smoothens out every strand and stays frizz-proof for at least 4 days. My Rating Vitamin E Moisture Protect Emulsion SPF 30 PA+++A milky white emulsion-type liquid sunscreen. It has a very nourishing formula, gives a dewy finish, and can make you look like a grease ball if you have oily skin. Has a mild white cast and flashbacks in photographs. Try it if you have dry skin and/or live in colder climates. My Rating Vitamin C Skin Boost Instant SmootherIt’s a Vitamin C-infused skin primer-like product. Other than smoothening out the skin surface temporarily, I don’t see the benefit of using this product. Strongly scented and highly scented. My Rating Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Cleansing Oil in GelIt is a gel-type product that emulsifies upon contact with water. Typically, it’s an oil cleanser. Removes makeup and impurities without drying out the skin. My Rating All in One Base MakeupFragrance-free, mattifying, light to medium coverage powder foundation. Gives a natural-looking finish and is available in 5 shades. A good product for oily acne-prone skin types. My Rating 4/5Read further to know in-depth about The Body Shop The Body Shop Skin Clearing Tea Tree Facial WashSince I have acne-prone skin, I always look out for products that target acne or pimples. I was eyeing the tea tree oil but ended up picking the face wash among the entire Tea Tree Range. I was high on pimples when I first started using this a couple of years you can see, The Body Shop Green Tea Face Wash is a greenish gel-based face wash with a medium-thick consistency. A doll-up of the face wash was more than enough to clean my face as it foams up nicely. It has the signature Tea Tree Oil smell which I’m used to. But new Tea Tree Oil users may find it medicinal and strong on the nose. For me, the scent wasn’t overpowering compared to the other Tea Tree Oil Products that I’ve face wash has a cooling effect on the skin while washing off and instantly feels refreshing. It rinses off easily as it doesn’t have too much slip like other gel face washes. It clears off dirt and impurities really well, with totally no complaints on the cleaning part. My skin also looks clean, clear, and brighter. The face wash did not feel drying in the first few washes, but after days of using it, I felt this made my skin a little drier unless I use more hydrating products. So I started using it once a day, usually at the end of the day which was more to its effects on acne, it did help in controlling my acne breakouts and also heal existing acne faster. Overall, this is a great purifying face wash for those suffering from frequent breakouts. Also, this 250 ml bottle will easily last for more than 4 months, even when used daily, twice a day. This is one of my all-time favorites for The Body Shop Satsuma Shower GelThis Satsuma and the Strawberry variant are the most popular ones among all TBS shower gels. I got this one as I love citrus-scented body products. But unfortunately, this scent failed to impress me. The fragrance is exactly like that of Fanta a popular soft drink. It is not bad as such but I did not like this scent in my shower gel. As it is strongly scented my whole bathroom smells like Fanta and the scent lingers on my skin for the initial two or three hours Satsuma Shower gel does not foam up heavily with just hands, unlike the Neutrogena Rainbath Shower Gel, but a little was enough to bring it to a rich foam using my loofah. It leaves a slippery residue on my skin so I always use more water to rinse it off. The shower gel does give a refreshing cleaned-up feel and does not dry out the skin which is a good thing. But still, I needed to moisturize thereafter as I have very dry body this isn’t a bad shower gel, I know a lot of people who rave about this, it’s just that I did not like its The Body Shop Shea Body ButterJust like their shower gels, The Body Shop has got a variety of Body Butters. If there is one product that you need to try from TBS, then it must be their Body Butters. I went in for the Shea Butter variant which has a mild nutty Shea Body Body Butter is super nourishing with Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, and Babassu oil. It has the perfect semi-thick buttery texture. I usually apply in dots and then massage it over nicely, in that way it covers each and every area and gets absorbed completely. This does not leave any residue nor feels greasy. It instantly moisturizes and the skin looks healthy and supple. It tackles dryness skin is prone to itchiness if it’s dry or cracked and applying this twice a day has healed them completely. This is an amazing body butter that all the normal to dry skin beauties should try. I loved Brand ReviewsNeutrogenaCliniqueGarnierNiveaInnisfreeThe Face Shop4. The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Replenishing Gel LotionThe Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Replenishing Gel Lotion is super lightweight on the skin and is perfect for the summer season. It has a fast-absorbing smooth and light texture that sinks in within seconds. It has a bit of coolness when it touches the skin and leaves no greasiness, sticky, or oily residue. It is not very moisturizing but adds a burst of hydration to the skin. It is best for those oily skin ladies who want a light hydrating body lotion. It also adds a healthy glow to the skin with its suppleness. Above all, the fragrance is mesmerizing. It has a very fresh, summery light fragrance which can be irritating for sensitive noses. The scent does not stay long and yes re-application is needed since it’s a light lotion. I thoroughly loved using this Gel CrĂšme Lotion and have been eyeing their Body Yogurts 4/55. The Body Shop Oils of Life Sleeping CreamI received samples of these along with my Body Shop orders. Despite being an award-winning product, I was initially doubtful if this will suit my acne-prone skin but gladly this didn’t break me out. This is not a rich cream as I thought, but more of a gel-cream product that is lightweight on the skin. It absorbs so quickly and leaves the skin moisturized without being greasy or shiny. In fact, I think this will not be enough moisturizing for very dry skin types. I guess dry skin types can use this in your 10-step skincare simply liked how this instantly left my skin soft and the next day I woke up with healthy and supple skin. I was impressed with the usage of these samples which lasted me for a week at least. It has got Black Cumin Oil, Rosehip Oil and Camellia Oil which I believe are great anti-aging ingredients. The Sleeping Cream has a warm perfume kind of scent that vanes away within seconds of application, so it’s not a all, this is a perfect non-greasy night cream suitable for those with oily-normal skin and in their late 20s. If I had all the money, I would be getting this full size to see its long-term 4/5Where to buy? / The Body Shop Grapeseed Glossing SerumThis is the possession of, one of our writers, Sneha. She swears that this is the best hair serum out there. It is rare to find a hair serum that doesn’t weigh down fine hair. But this is it! The Body Shop Grapeseed Glossing Serum not only imparts shine and detangles hair, but it also adds a beautiful bounce to fine hair. It smoothens out every strand and stays frizz-proof for at least 4 days. It also removes static from hair which is a major problem for those living in dry the hair also becomes easier after applying this serum. It has the right thick consistency of a serum and one pump is all she needs to tame her mid-waist-length mane. The hair serum has a mild fruity fragrance that lingers for about half a day totally non-bothering but still makes you smell fresh for the next couple of days. Except for the silicones, there isn’t a reason why you shouldn’t buy The Body Shop All in One Face BaseThis was one of my first compact foundations. I absolutely adored and loved using this for giving me a nice polished look without giving a made-up look. The powder is silky smooth and velvety soft. It has got no fragrance at all which is a big plus for sensitive noses like mine. The compact comes with a mirror and separate sponge which is soft and is of good all-in-one face base is available in 5 shades and I had shade 02 which is a light beige. This powder can be used both wet and dry. It has light coverage when used dry and medium coverage when used wet. It does not cover very dark spots and pigmentation though. The powder is mattifying and is perfect for oily and acne-prone skin types as it has never broken me are usually not suitable for dry skin types and so is this one. Although it can be used after a heavy-duty moisturizer to prevent the powder from clinging onto dry patches. The staying power of this powder is good too. My face looks fresh and nice for around 5-6 hours after that I need a light all, I loved this product. It’s a great product but I have moved on to the MAC Studio Fix Compact Plus Foundation as it has more 4/58. The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Protect Emulsion SPF 30 PA +++The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Protect Emulsion SPF 30 PA +++ claims to be a lightweight lotion that acts as a moisturizer plus sun protection which is true. It is a milky white runny emulsion. It’s liquidy in consistency hence it spreads and blends sunscreen is highly moisturizing and it can make you look greasy or oily if you have oily skin or stay in humid weather. Not that a layer of compact powder can’t resolve the shininess issue though. However, I doubt that one can use the recommended ÂŒ teaspoon with this sunscreen as I’m sure this will make oily skin types shine like a disco ball. Typically this will be a great sunscreen for dry to very dry skin types and the cold winter sunscreen has a dewy finish and exhibits a very mild white cast in person but an obvious flashback in photographs. It’s not that bad though. Having used a lot of sunscreens, I will say this sunscreen exhibits a minimal white cast. The sunscreen has a synthetic floral cream fragrance that is not too bothering. The packaging of the product is sleek and the pump dispenser is convenient to use. However, when the product reaches the bottom of the bottle, the pump fails to dispense the remaining product. When I shake the bottle I could sense the emulsion inside it. So unless I break open the pump, some of the product is left behind since this is not a sunscreen for oily skin types, I didn’t really enjoy using this. However, if you have super dry skin, you will love how nourishing this sunscreen is. Vitamin E, Hyaluronic Acid, and Wheatgerm Oil are all excellent skin-soothing ingredients so those with sensitive skin and easily prone to sunburns will benefit from this 3/59. The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Boost Instant SmootherJust like its name, this is an instant skin smoother. It smoothens out fine lines, blurs out pores, and gives a silky smooth finish while providing skincare benefits of Vitamin C. In short, this is a skincare plus makeup product. The smooth finish it provides is perfect as a makeup base. It is recommended to use the instant smoother after your cleansing, toning, and moisturizing Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Boost Instant Smoother has a light serum-like gel texture that spreads and gets absorbed easily. It has got a citrus fragrance that’s kind of refreshing but those who are sensitive to fragrance might not like it. The product as such stays true to its claim of providing smooth skin. However, personally, I didn’t see any benefit in using this product except that as a primer. But then I can easily replace this product with a less-priced primer. The fragrance is a bit turn-off for me, as it might irritate sensitive skin and also leads to pimples on acne-prone the product is what it claims to be. It is up to you whether you need this product. As for me, I don’t find it beneficial for my skin, and investing in this product is not The Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalizing Cleansing Oil in GelThe Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalizing Cleansing Oil in Gel has a unique oil in gel formulation to cleanse the skin while providing nourishment to the skin. The cleanser is enriched with 3 precious seed oils that help to keep the skin’s natural moisture cleanser is suitable for standalone use as well as a makeup remover. I usually require a pea-sized amount of the product. I massage it directly on dry skin. The pale orange gel melts into an oil providing a warm sensation like some cleansing oils. It dissolves skin impurities and makeup really well. After a few seconds of massaging the oil, I moisten my fingers and continue massaging. Upon contact with water, the oil emulsifies into a milky essence further dissolving impurities deep inside the pores. Finally, I rinse it off with generous splashes of water to reveal smoother and cleaner skin. The cleanser doesn’t leave the skin dry at all, instead, it leaves the skin radiant and it is a great heavy-duty cleanser that isn’t drying but leaves the skin clean, fresh, and nourished. I got it during the sales. I do recommend this cleanser for all skin 4/5FAQ Asked Questions on The Body ShopIs The Body Shop Cruelty-Free? Yes, The Body Shop is Cruelty-Free. You must be aware there were speculations some years ago when The Body Shop was under the L’Oreal Company which tests on animals. Now that the ownership has changed yet again, it is clearly confirmed that The Body Shop is Cruelty-Free. It is now owned by Natura, a Brazilian company that is strongly against animal testing and has even initiated no animal testing petitions. On another note, The Body Shop is the first company to be certified with a Leaping Bunny Logo in The Body Shop Vegan? Around half of The Body Shop products are Vegan. You can easily check out their websites to find Vegan-Friendly Products. Most of their Popular products from their Tree Tea Range, Aloe Range, Body Yogurts, lip Juicers, Lip Balms, Sheet Masks, and a lot more products are Vegan Friendly. It’s not just limited to skincare & body care, many of their makeup products such as their foundations, compacts, and even brushes are The Body Shop Halal? Although The Body Shop is not Halal Certified, it’s fairly easy to shortlist halal products in them. Due to the fact that their products are 100% Vegetarian and have Vegan-Friendly options no animal or animal by-products, you might have to mostly look into whether they contain intoxicating alcohol in them. Most products don’t contain them. Also, The Body Shop is well received in the Middle Eastern Countries where Halal Products are Preferred. So I guess with a little bit of analysis of ingredients, you can easily find Halal Products from The Body The Body Shop Chemical Free And Really Natural? To be honest Chemical Free is really overrated. Everything is chemical in this world from water to oxygen. Everything is chemical. They use safe, toxin-free, and approved ingredients in their products. Their formulations are tested for consumer safety and comply with international safety for being Natural or Not. They do use natural raw ingredients in almost all their products such as Shea Butter, Tree Tea Oil, etc with synthetic ingredients added to enhance the products. Personally, I believe that you shouldn’t expect a 100% Natural product from any brand because ideally preservatives are needed to keep the product and its efficiency intact. You don’t want to use mold-infested or unsafe preservative-free products right! My recommendation would be to always check the ingredient list thoroughly and choose products wisely, be it any shouldn’t use The Body Shop Products? Anyone who is sensitive and allergic to fragrances should skip The Body Shop. Many of their products are high on synthetic/artificial fragrance, so it may not be for everyone. In fact, The Body Shop is a brand well known for its fragrances, just like The Bath and Body Works. Go for it only if you love fragranced skincare & body final thoughts on The Body Shop ProductsUsually, I don’t fall for such mid-range luxury brands, but I have a soft spot for The Body Shop. I have liked most of the products that I have tried so far and I always keep a close watch on their sale seasons. To be honest, that’s the only time I buy their products. The high price is usually justified by its longevity, as most of them last for a couple of months. My all-time favorites from The Body Shop are the Tree Tea Skin Clearing Facial Wash and The Shea Body a nutshell, The Body Shop is a global beauty brand that is worth your money. They are great performers so do get them if you are not obsessed with being is all we have for today. See you in another interesting post soon.
